Risk assesment

There are many factors that I must consider as a risk when I produce my music magazine.

The first thing I must consider is the hazards that will be involved when producing the photos. The location of the first photo was in a lecture theatre and the main risks is that the models were standing near a computer. This could have caused the models to fall over as there were many cables coming from the computer that will have caused problems if the models had fallen over them.
To control this risk the models could have moved away from the area near the computer and taken the picture elsewhere in the lecture theatre as there were many other areas around the room where the photo could have been taken.
It order to stop the hazard from occurring, I moved the models to another part of the room to make sure they were free of any hazards.
The thing needed to consider in the location before the models and I left was that the lights were off in the lecture theatre and that the doors were shut before leaving.

In the contents page there were many photos that I took for it. In one of the photos, it was taken in a music room where there were musical instruments such as a piano and drums. There were many hazards that we needed to consider such as making sure the models did not walk into these instruments or fall over them.
The control this risk, we moved the musical instruments away from the models so there was no potential risk of them getting injured.
The actions I took to stop the hazards is that I moved away from the instruments and used the piano in the room to show a musical instrument in my music magazine.
Before we Left we made sure that all the musical instruments were put back where they were and turned the lights off in the room as well as make sure that we shut the door on the way out of the music room.

In the double page spread photo, there were many hazards that we needed to consider because of the location of the photo as well as the equipment I was using. Due to the location being at the back of the main hall behind the projector, there were many objects and wires that were a hazard towards the models. The photographer may also have been harmed in the making of the picture also. The lighting of the back of the main hall was also very dark and poor. Therefore, we used a light to allow us to light up a clear part of the area to use for the photo.
To avoid the hazards, we moved the light away from the models and we also moved to a clearer part of the back of the main hall to make sure there were no cables or wires that could produce a hazard for the models.
Before we left, we made sure that the light was switched off and that we left the area the way it was before we arrived and removed the light from the area.
